1. What is CBD Oil?
CBD oil is a product that’s derived and extracted from the cannabis plant. Many people use CBD oil for the potential health benefits like improved sleep and mood and reduced inflammation, pain and anxiety.
2. Is CBD Oil legal in Canada?
Yes. CBD Oil is legal in Canada. It is regulated under The Cannabis Act which came into effect on October 17, 2018.
3. Will you get high from CBD oil?
All CBD oil in Canada must contain less than 0.3% THC. This is not enough THC to get ‘high’ or cause intoxicating effects.
4. What types of CBD oil are there in Canada?
The different types of CBD oil are full-spectrum CBD oil, broad-spectrum, CBD isolate and water-soluble.
5. How do you consume CBD oil?
CBD oil is best consumed sublingually. Sublingual administration of CBD means that you place the CBD oil drops under your tongue. It’s best if you hold the CBD oil under your tongue for approximately 30 seconds to help the CBD absorb into your bloodstream. Sublingual administration is one of the quickest ways to get CBD into your bloodstream so you can feel the effects even quicker.

Some CBD oil, like full-spectrum, contains small amounts of THC. All CBD oil in Canada must contain less than 0.3% THC which isn’t enough to cause any intoxicating effects. If you’re looking for CBD that contains 0% THC, you’ll want to give pure CBD isolate a try. Please keep in mind that pure CBD isolate does not contain any other parts of the cannabis plant so you don’t benefit from what’s known as the ‘entourage effect’.
7. Are there any side effects to CBD?
As with most things, everyone responds differently. The same goes for CBD oil. Although, we think these side effects are fairly uncommon and not something we’ve experienced personally, a few side effects may be: diarrhea, drowsiness and dry mouth. If you’re on other medications, it’s always good to check with your Doctor to make sure there won’t be any adverse interactions when using CBD oil.
8. Are there different CBD oil flavours?
Yes! The main flavour that we’ve found in Canada and absolutely love is this peppermint full-spectrum CBD oil. It has such a refreshing taste that we really enjoy.
